About

Alex's work examines the relationship between coastlines, humans and built environments. Through a multi-disciplinary orientation, her work considers both the socio-technical and the socio-ecological challenges from rising sea levels. She is currently pursuing a Master of Environmental Design (M.E.D.) within Yale School of Architecture. The program is a 2-year intensive research degree and includes coursework within the Yale School of the Environment.
Prior to Yale, Alex completed a Master of Art in Design from Carnegie Mellon University where she studied interaction design, transition design and experiential futures. She has 7 years of work experience, most recently as a project manager at Pentagram in New York. Prior to joining Pentagram, Alex’s career has been diverse and multifaceted. She's held business development, operations and sales roles within a startup, Reserve, CBS Interactive and Crafted Hospitality.
